Hnry charges 1% of income plus GST, capped at $1,500 plus GST a year: $1,650 GST inclusive, a cap you reach at $150,000 of income (hnry.com.au/pricing). Sessional Plus is $299.90 a year and Sessional Pro is $399.90 a year, GST inclusive, at any income.
A GP locum earning $200,000 pays $1,650 a year on the percentage model. The same year on Sessional Plus costs $299.90, less than a fifth of that, or $399.90 on Pro, about a quarter. The flat fee works out cheaper than 1% plus GST from roughly $27,300 a year on Plus annual and roughly $36,400 on Pro annual (derived from the cited prices), which is below the income of any working locum.
Said plainly, and fairly: Hnry's price includes a registered tax agent lodging your return and BAS, and all your income routing through Hnry's account on the way to you. Sessional's does not. Sessional prepares BAS-ready figures that your own agent, or Xero, lodges in minutes, and your money never routes through us at all.

Why is there no percentage option?
Because a percentage means your pay rise is also ours. A flat fee keeps our incentives aligned with your admin, not your income.
Is the early-access price conditional?
Join Plus before 1 August 2026 and pay $19.99/mo for your first 3 months, then $29.99/mo. Nothing else changes.
Does Sessional lodge my BAS or tax return?
No, and we say so plainly. Sessional prepares BAS-ready figures across all your income sources. Your registered tax agent lodges, or your accountant works from the Xero sync on Pro. Sessional shows your position; it does not provide tax or financial advice.
What does the Free plan actually do?
Real work, deliberately. You get 5 shifts and 5 invoices every month with core tracking, enough to run a quiet month end to end, not a demo. When your volume outgrows it, Plus is a flat $29.99 a month.
Is Sessional an agency or a marketplace?
No. Sessional charges 0% commission and takes no part in your bookings or your pay. The public directory is optional and exists so workplaces can find you directly; the relationship, and every dollar, stays yours.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
It is yours. Export everything, then close the account whenever you choose.
